Therapists

Hi, I’m Carly
I work as a registered psychotherapist in Ontario. I received my Masters in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, and hold a Bachelors of Arts in Sexuality, Marriage and Family from the University of Waterloo. Through these programs, I have had the pleasure of working with diverse populations and found my passion for supporting clients.
Seeking support when things feel challenging is a difficult step. In my role as a psychotherapist, I look to provide a comfortable, safe and judgment free environment to support clients in their therapeutic journey. Through my many years of service, I have had the privilege of journeying with clients through some of their most challenging of circumstances. Supporting clients in reaching their goals, and forging their own way forward is an important part of my practice. I take a client centered approach to my work, where clients take the lead in discussing relevant and important topics to them.

Talking about our experiences and feelings can be difficult. I will create a safe space where you feel comfortable expressing your true self without judgement. Together we will build on your strengths and help you apply these to foster a newfound confidence. I enjoy utilizing a client centered approach and want to ensure we explore what you may need that day while also achieving your goals.
When working with clients, our time together will be individualized to your wants and needs. I pull from a variety of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-CBT, Narrative therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Solution Focused Therapy.
I enjoy supporting youth, adults and couples through their therapeutic journey. I believe it’s never too late to build your toolbox to cope with life’s everyday struggles. Genuine connections with my clients are important and I continue to make this part of our time together.

I have completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University and I also hold a Bachelors of Arts in Human Services and Criminology, as well as, a Bachelors of Arts in Therapeutic Recreation.
I believe everyone can benefit from talking to another about life’s triumphs and challenges. Therapy can be a wonderful option for all, no matter the level of need. Whether it is to maintain a semblance of normality, control, and comfort in one’s life or to work through some of our most difficult experiences and struggles.
My goal is to create a safe, non-judgemental environment where my clients can build the skills and strategies to feel confident and self-aware in their decisions and relationships. Using a person-centred approach, I feel it is paramount for my clients to be able to share their true selves in session. All ideas, beliefs, and values are accepted and celebrated.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Laurentian University and a Graduate Certificate in Addictions and Mental Health from Durham College. I understand that each person is unique and utilize a collaborative approach in the development of goals and treatment planning. Clinical Intern

Hi there! My name is Emily (she/her), and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
currently completing my Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
I completed my Bachelor of Science in Honours Life Sciences at McMaster University, with a
double minor in Mental Health and Sustainability.
My passion for mental health began during
my studies and continued to grow through my work and volunteer experiences in healthcare—from volunteering in emergency rooms to working in pharmacy, and currently
supporting patients on a surgical floor. Through these roles, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it
can be just to have someone listen, and how meaningful even small moments of connection can
be.
In our work together, I aim to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and truly heard. I
take a client-centered approach, meaning I tailor our sessions to your unique needs and goals. I
draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches—including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),
Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness techniques—to
help you navigate things like life changes and challenges, stress, grief, or anxiety and depression.
Regardless of what you’re facing, I would be honoured to work with you to improve your
emotional regulation, learn new coping mechanisms, and achieve your therapeutic goals.
Whether you're facing a specific challenge or just feeling stuck, I’m here to work alongside
you—with compassion, curiosity, and care. It takes courage to reach out—and I’m so glad you’re
here and taking that step. I look forward to meeting you in person or virtually to discuss your
goals together!
