Erica Maw

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). Clinical Intern.

Hi, I am Erica. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in my final year of my Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I completed my undergraduate bachelor’s degree in Psychology and an undergraduate certificate in Counseling Women at Athabasca University.

Through my education and experience, I have a passion for working with youth and adults to navigate their mental health, supporting them through their therapeutic journey, and helping to develop a sense of empowerment to work through the challenges that brings them to therapy. My knowledge and skillset are beneficial to support individuals, couples, and families to work together in challenging moments and reach their therapeutic goals.

I often draw on different therapeutic frameworks that are flexible for the client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and a trauma-informed lens, to name a few.

I believe that every person has the power to meet their own potential and would love to support you with finding yourself, navigating difficult experiences, and regaining control of your life.
